1st Annual Paint Out a Big Success.

JT Harding (L) and Dianne Panarelli Miller (R) with her 1st place painting.
Although the turnout was smaller than expected, the 1st Annual Adams Farm Plein Air Paint Out was a big success.  We raised funds for the maintenance and enhancement of Adams Farm and awarded prize money, but the fun we had and the camaraderie among artists and spectators was priceless.

First place winner Dianne Panarelli Miller of Abington, MA, chose a view from the Community Garden for her oil painting, imbuing a bucolic feel to the scene.  In addition to winning the grand prize money, Dianne also received a one-year membership to the Friends of Adams Farm.  Her painting has been prominently featured in the promotional materials for this year’s Paint Out as well.

Introducing the First Annual Adams Farm Paint Out

Irises in Bloom at Adams Farm (June 2012)
Imagine over 700 acres of farmland preserved for the enjoyment of the citizens of Walpole and the surrounding communities!  Next, envision a beautiful Red Barn and Pavilion welcoming visitors to hike, go horseback riding, bird watch, play volleyball, garden, stroll through a butterfly garden, or read a good book on a quiet bench.

Now, think of the beauty that each New England season bestows on this land, and you can sense the possibilities of painting subject matter.

On behalf of the Friends of Adams Farm, I invite you to join me and other artists on Saturday, September 8th, 2012, for the first annual Adams Farm Plein Air Paint Out.

Please peruse this blog to learn more about the event, and then take a moment to pre-register so we can anticipate the turnout and better communicate with you.

And, if you have any specific questions, please feel free to call or email me.

Best regards,

JT Harding
